Short answer
How do you run shift transport for a unit in Vithalapur?
Shiv Shakti Tours & Travels plans every shift change at your unit as its own run: the incoming shift is picked up from its towns and the outgoing shift dropped home, often by the same vehicles. Vehicles go from a sedan to a bus by headcount, runs starting between 10 PM and 6 AM carry the 20% night charge, and the plan is one monthly package with a GST invoice.
A unit in the Vithalapur industrial area has a transport problem that units in a city do not: there is no town next to the gate big enough to house the workforce, and the public buses do not run to shift timings. Staff come in from towns 25 to 80 km away, at 6 in the morning and at 11 at night, and a late or missing pickup means a line short at the start of the shift.
A shift plan solves this once. We take your shift chart and the list of pickup towns, design a route for each shift change, choose the vehicle for each route, and run it every working day. Your HR or admin team gets one contact, one plan and one invoice instead of managing private vans, two-wheelers and late arrivals.
Units that need a car on standby as well (for a manager, a visitor or a breakdown) usually add a dedicated car kept at the unit to the same plan.
Night charge check
Which of your shift changes fall in the night window?
Enter your three shift-change times. The pins show which runs start between 10 PM and 6 AM and carry the 20% night charge.
Shift changes between 10 PM and 6 AM carry the 20% night charge; the others are billed at the normal rate.
The times above are examples, not any unit's real timings; enter your own. Nothing is sent anywhere. A shift that changes at 6:00 sits right on the edge: a pickup run that leaves the towns at 5:00 to reach the gate by 6:00 starts in the night window, so we price the run by its start time, not the shift time.

What do the shift runs look like on a working day?
An example run board for a unit that works three shifts with staff from five towns.

Illustrative timings and towns, not any unit's real schedule. A run that starts before 6:00 or after 22:00 carries the night charge.
The 14:30 and 22:30 rows are where a shift plan saves money: the vehicle that brings the next shift to the gate takes the outgoing shift home, so one vehicle covers two jobs. That only works when the shift timings leave room for the drive, which is why we start from your shift chart before proposing vehicles.
Run sheet
How are vehicles sized for each shift?
Each run is sized to that shift's headcount, so a small night shift does not pay for a bus.
| Staff on the run | Vehicle we would send | Rate | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 4 | Sedan (Swift Dzire) | ₹12/km, from ₹1,000 | Night shift, supervisors, general shift |
| 5 to 6 | Ertiga | ₹13/km, from ₹1,100 | Small town routes |
| Up to 7 | Innova Crysta | ₹18/km, from ₹1,500 | Managers, long routes in comfort |
| 8 and more | Tempo Traveller or bus, our own fleet | Quoted on call | Main shift routes |
Charges are per vehicle or trip, not per head, so a day with lower attendance does not change the bill. Monthly plans are quoted from the run sheet.

Kilometres from each town to your gate are confirmed when we plan the route; Vithalapur is about 25 km from Becharaji and about 80 km (about 2 hours) from Ahmedabad. Town-by-town detail is on the staff pickup towns page.
Rules we agree up front
What do we agree before the first run?
Four rules that decide whether a shift plan runs smoothly in its second month.
Cut-off time for roster changes
Your team sets a cut-off for adding or dropping names on a run, for example the evening before. Changes before the cut-off go into the next day's routes; later changes are handled as single trips if a car is free.
Pickup points, not doorsteps, on big routes
On Tempo Traveller and bus routes we agree fixed pickup points in each town so the run keeps to time. Night-shift drops in smaller cars can go closer to home; you decide the rule.
Backup plan for critical shifts
If a vehicle breaks down or a driver is absent, a backup car is sent; for a plant shift it typically reaches within about an hour. We agree the backup plan for your location before the first run.
Delays are reported at once
Our office calls or WhatsApps your coordinator as soon as a run is delayed, and drivers may not change an assigned run without office approval. GPS shows every route.
Large accounts get one named coordinator at our office. Companies can also get a login to our GPS tracking portal, a daily trip report by email and trip-wise records in Excel or PDF on request.
Three ways to set it up
Shift runs only, shift runs plus a car, or a full plan?
Most units start with the shift runs and add a dedicated car once they see how often they book single trips.
Shift runs only
- Pickups and drops at each shift change
- Vehicles sized per shift
- Monthly invoice
- No car on standby during the day
Shift runs plus a dedicated car
- All shift runs
- A car and driver kept at the unit
- Visitors, errands and urgent drops covered
- One plan, one invoice
Full transport plan
- Shift runs for every site
- Invoices split by plant or cost centre
- Monthly review on request
- Written agreement and SLA on request
Better rates are quoted for long contracts or many vehicles, per company. The contract topics (SLA, safety, billing, vendor audits) are covered in our corporate transport contract guides; the same terms apply to units in Vithalapur.
Setup
How is a shift transport plan set up?
From your shift chart to the first run, in five steps.
- Share the shift chart. Shift timings and the headcount on each shift, including the general shift.
- Share where staff live. Towns and pickup points; the list is seen only by our office team and the driver on that route.
- Get the run sheet and price. Routes, vehicles per run and the monthly price, in writing.
- Agree the rules. Cut-off time, backup plan, night drop rules and billing split.
- Start and review. Trial period if you want one; the first month is reviewed from the GPS trip records.

Questions & answers
Shift transport questions from Vithalapur units
From HR, admin and plant teams.
Do you know the shift timings of the units in Vithalapur?
No. Every unit sets its own timings and they change, so we plan to the shift chart you give us.
Can one vehicle drop one shift and pick up the next?
Yes, when the timings allow. That keeps the number of vehicles, and the monthly price, down.
Is the night charge added to every run?
Only to runs that start between 10 PM and 6 AM. Those runs carry a 20% night charge; the rest are billed at the normal rate.
Do you charge per employee?
No. Charges are per vehicle or trip, not per head, so lower attendance on a day does not change the bill.
What happens if a vehicle breaks down before a shift?
A backup car is sent; for a plant shift it typically reaches within about an hour. The backup plan for your location is agreed before the first run.
Can women staff get a female driver?
Female drivers are available on request. Tell us the run and we confirm availability.
Can we start with a trial?
Yes. A trial or pilot period is possible before a written agreement; its length is agreed with your company.
