Planning notes
What should you plan around?
The monsoon, the ghat road after dark and weekend crowds.
- Monsoon: the hills are greenest and the falls fullest from July to September, which is also when the roads are wettest. Allow more time.
- Ghats in daylight: we plan the climb and the descent in daylight; fog and rain make the bends slow after dark.
- Weekends: Saputara fills up on weekends and holidays; book the hotels first.
- Add a stop: the drive passes Vadodara and Surat; a night in Surat breaks the journey for older guests.

How much is a 3-day Saputara tour by car from Ahmedabad?
At our public rates, ₹11,700 in a sedan, ₹12,600 in an Ertiga and ₹17,100 in an Innova Crysta, with the driver allowance. Agent rates are lower, on request.
Can Saputara be done in 2 days?
It can, but 800 km in two days leaves almost no time in the hills. Three days is what we suggest.
Is the road to Saputara safe in the monsoon?
Yes, with care: our drivers take the ghat road slowly and in daylight. Allow extra time on wet days.
Can the tour start from Surat?
Yes. A Surat start is much shorter; tell us the pickup and we work out the kilometres.
Can you add Nashik or Shirdi?
Quote on call: tell us the plan and we confirm the route, the days and any state tax.
