Short answer
Why a 2-day Statue of Unity tour and not a day trip?
The Statue of Unity is 200 km from Ahmedabad, and the site (viewing gallery, Valley of Flowers, the evening laser show) needs a full day. A night at Kevadia lets the guests see Vadodara on the way and the show in the evening without a late drive. About 440 km, billed as 600 km: ₹7,800 in a sedan at public rates.
The route
Which way does the tour go?
Down the expressway to Vadodara, east to Kevadia, and back to Ahmedabad on day 2.

Public rates for planning. Entry tickets, tolls, parking and the driver's night stay are extra; driving between 10 PM and 6 AM adds 20%.
The route is about 160 km under the 600 km minimum, so there is room for Champaner-Pavagadh on the way down at little or no extra cost. Ask us to work it in.

Planning notes
What should you plan around?
The weekly closing day, the ticket types and the walking.
- Closing day: the Statue of Unity closes one day a week for maintenance; check the official site before fixing the dates.
- Tickets: the viewing-gallery tickets are limited per slot; the agency or the guests book them online in advance.
- Walking: there is a fair amount of walking between the bus stops and the sites; tell older guests in advance.
- Vadodara timing: the Laxmi Vilas Palace has set visiting hours; the driver plans the morning around them.
- One day only? A same-day round trip is possible (about 400 km), but it is a 12-hour day. See our Statue of Unity taxi packages.
