Planning notes
What should you tell your guests before the tour?
Book the Gir safari permit early, plan temple visits around the aarti times, and expect large crowds at Dwarka and Somnath on festival days.
- Gir safari: permits are limited and booked through the forest department; book them as soon as the dates are fixed. The park closes for the monsoon, so check the dates before you sell the tour.
- Temples: Dwarkadhish and Somnath have set darshan and aarti times; the driver plans the day around them.
- Festivals: Janmashtami at Dwarka and the Shravan month at Somnath bring very large crowds; allow more time.
- Long days: days 1 and 6 are 6 to 7.5 hours of driving. Starting early keeps the drive out of the night-charge hours.
- Add-ons: an extra night anywhere adds a day at the 300 km minimum; ask us before you change the route.
