Short answer
What does a 3-day Rann of Kutch tour look like?
Day 1 drives from Ahmedabad to the White Rann at Dhordo (425 km) for sunset on the salt. Day 2 is Kala Dungar and the craft villages, ending in Bhuj. Day 3 is Bhuj in the morning and the drive back (400 km). About 930 km, which is more than the 300 km a day minimum, so the route distance is billed: ₹12,060 in a sedan at public rates.
The route
Which way does the tour go?
Out to the Rann first, so the first evening is the salt-desert sunset, then back through the villages to Bhuj.

Day by day
What happens on each day?
The long day comes first, so the guests' first sight of Kutch is the salt desert at sunset.
- Day1
Ahmedabad to the White Rann
An early start; about 8 hours via Bhuj to Dhordo. The Rann entry permit is bought at the checkpoint on the way (photo ID needed). Sunset on the White Rann.
- Day2
Kala Dungar and the craft villages
Sunrise on the salt if the guests want it, then Kala Dungar, the highest point in Kutch, with its view over the Rann. Craft villages such as Bhirandiyara and Hodka on the way to Bhuj.
- Day3
Bhuj to Ahmedabad
The Aina Mahal and Prag Mahal in Bhuj in the morning, then about 7.5 hours to Ahmedabad and the drop.
The tent city or resort usually has rooms for drivers; if not, your agency arranges the driver's stay. The driver allowance covers his food.
Public rate
What does the tour cost at our public rates?
About 930 km over three days is more than the 900 km minimum, so the route distance is billed, plus ₹900 driver allowance: ₹12,060 in a sedan, ₹12,990 in an Ertiga, ₹17,640 in an Innova Crysta. Agencies get a lower agent rate on request; the final kilometres come from the trip meter.
| Car | How it is worked out | Public rate, whole tour |
|---|---|---|
| Sedan (Swift Dzire), 4 guests | 930 km × ₹12 + ₹900 driver allowance | ₹12,060 |
| Ertiga, 6 guests | 930 km × ₹13 + ₹900 driver allowance | ₹12,990 |
| Innova Crysta, 7 guests | 930 km × ₹18 + ₹900 driver allowance | ₹17,640 |

Public rates for planning. The Rann permit, tolls, parking and the driver's night stay are extra; driving between 10 PM and 6 AM adds 20%, which can apply on a late return from the sunset point.
Your guests, your brand
How do we look after your guests?
Your agency's name on the board and on every call; we stay in the background.
Your name on the board
The driver meets your guests with your agency's name on the board, at the airport, the station or the hotel.
Your customers stay yours
The driver does not hand out our number or card, and we never contact your guests to sell them a trip.
Driver details to you first
Before pickup we send you the driver's name, phone number and car number, to pass on to your guests.
GPS on every car
Every car is GPS-tracked, and we can share the live location with you while your guests travel.
One driver, one car
The same driver and car for all 3 days; if a car breaks down, we send another.
One number, 24/7
Your team calls one number at any hour for changes, delays or problems: +91 99745 30788.
Group size
Which car fits your group?
Kutch roads are long and straight: a sedan is fine for four guests, but families with suitcases for a tent stay are more comfortable in an Ertiga or Innova Crysta. Groups beyond seven travel in two cars or a Tempo Traveller, quoted on call.

Planning notes
What should you plan around?
The season, the permit, the moon and the tent bookings.
- Season: the White Rann is dry and white in winter; the Rann Utsav tent city runs for part of that season. Outside it the Rann can be wet. Check the dates before you sell.
- Full moon: full-moon nights on the salt are the most asked-for; those dates book out first, for tents and cars.
- Permit and ID: every guest needs photo ID for the Rann permit; foreign guests carry their passport.
- Evenings: the sunset point is a short drive from Dhordo; late returns can cross 10 PM, when the night charge applies.
- Go further: add Mandvi's beach and palace with the 4-day Kutch tour.

Who buys the Rann entry permit?
The guests buy it at the checkpoint on the way, or through the resort. The driver knows where to stop. Carry photo ID.

Yes, the main roads are good. For six or seven guests, or a lot of luggage, take an Ertiga or Innova Crysta.
Can the tour start from Bhuj airport?
Yes. We can meet guests at Bhuj and drop them in Ahmedabad, or the other way round; tell us the plan and we work out the kilometres.
Do you run the Rann tour in summer?
The car runs all year, but the salt desert is at its best in winter. We suggest checking the season before you sell the tour.
