Can you run cars between the SMG plant, vendor units and other plants nearby?
Yes. Shiv Shakti Tours & Travels runs trips between the SMG plant, the vendor units in the supplier park, the TDSG and Honda plant areas and units in the MBSIR zone. Short runs cost the minimum fare (₹1,000 sedan); Vithalapur is about 25 km. Frequent moves are cheaper as a full-day car or a scheduled shuttle.
Per-trip runs are fine when people move between sites once or twice a day. When it is five or six times, a car that stays on hand all day costs less, and a fixed timetable, for example every two hours between a vendor unit and the plant, lets people plan their day around it. We look at how often the moves happen and suggest the cheaper arrangement.
