SHIV SHAKTITOURS & TRAVELS

Customer question · Safety & tracking

What happens if a vehicle is involved in an accident?

Short answer

Passengers first, a replacement car, and the company told at once.

If a Shiv Shakti Tours & Travels vehicle is involved in an accident, the passengers' safety comes first: the driver stops safely, checks everyone and calls for medical help or the police if needed. Our office sends a replacement car to complete the trip, and for company transport we inform your coordinator straight away and follow up with what happened and what was done.

Will our company be told about an incident?

Yes. For company transport, your coordinator hears from us straight away, not at the end of the day. You get the facts as we have them, the passengers' condition and where the replacement car is.

If your policy has an incident form, tell us at onboarding and we use it for the follow-up. See emergency contact details.

What about minor incidents and breakdowns?

A breakdown or a minor knock follows the same rule: passengers first, a replacement car for the trip, and a message to your coordinator.

See what happens on a breakdown and replacement vehicles.

What happens afterwards?

We look at the cause with the driver, deal with the insurance, and take action where it is needed, up to taking the driver off your route. If it changes how a route should run, we agree the change with you.

See driver performance and complaints.

What is the procedure after an accident?

The steps the driver and our office follow.

  1. Make the scene safe. The driver stops safely and checks every passenger.
  2. Get help. Ambulance or police called when needed; the driver calls our 24/7 office.
  3. Send a replacement car. Our office sends another car to complete the trip.
  4. Inform the company. For company transport, your coordinator is told straight away.
  5. Follow up. We report what happened and what was done, and act on the cause.
