How do staff get from the railway station to the SMG plant?
By a booked car from Shiv Shakti Tours & Travels. Mehsana station is about 45 km from the plant area (₹1,000 one way in a sedan), Viramgam about 50 km (₹1,000) and Ahmedabad railway station about 120 km (₹2,160). The driver meets the train at the station exit, at any hour.
Trains are less predictable than flights for a pickup: they run late, platforms change, and a traveller new to Gujarat may not know which exit to take. We ask for the train number and the traveller's phone, and the driver calls when the train arrives. For long-distance trains, it helps to book the pickup a little after the scheduled time and let us adjust from there.
Choosing the station is often a matter of the train, not the distance. Mehsana is the closest for most trains from the north, Viramgam suits some trains from the Saurashtra side, and Ahmedabad has the widest choice of long-distance trains.
