Planning your departure drop
Missing a flight because the cab was late, or arriving so early that you sit around the terminal for three hours, are both avoidable with a bit of planning. A departure drop is really about working backwards from your flight's departure time: airline check-in guidance, security queue time, and the actual drive time from your pickup point to SVPI.
We run departure drops from both our bases — a fixed ₹2500 fare from Becharaji, and per-km pickups from anywhere in Ahmedabad city — 24 hours a day, including the early-morning and late-night flights that are common on Gujarat routes.
How early to leave for your flight
As general airline guidance (check your specific airline's advice, since this can vary), most travellers reach the airport about 2 hours before a domestic departure and about 3 hours before an international one, to allow for check-in, security and walking to the gate. That is airport-arrival time, not pickup time — add your actual drive time from Becharaji or wherever you are starting from on top of that.
Tell us your flight's departure time when you book, and we work back to a pickup time that gets you there comfortably, accounting for typical Ahmedabad traffic at that hour.
Early-morning & late-night flights
We are open 24/7, so a 4 AM departure or a flight landing at midnight is a normal booking, not a special request. Night pickups (10 PM to 6 AM) carry the standard 20% night charge on top of the base fare, which applies across all our services, not just airport drops — it reflects the driver's night shift, not a surge on the airport route specifically.
If you are booking a very early pickup, confirm the night before so the driver is scheduled and you are not waiting at an unusual hour.
Traffic buffers by pickup point
Drive time to SVPI depends heavily on where you start. From Becharaji, the fixed-fare route runs about 110 km and 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours in normal traffic, which is why we build the pickup time around your flight rather than a flat estimate. From within Ahmedabad city, drive time varies by area and time of day — a peak-hour drop from the far side of the city needs a bigger buffer than an early-morning trip from a nearby locality.

Drop-off at the terminal

Departure drop uses the same rates as arrival pickup, plus the night charge for 10 PM–6 AM trips.
