# How should transport be split between two vendors?

**Short answer:** By site or service, never route by route at one gate.

If you use two vendors, split **by site** (each plant or office has one vendor) or **by service** (for example staff routes with one, executive and airport cars with another). Avoid splitting **route by route at the same gate**: delays and complaints then fall between vendors and nobody owns them.
