# How are extra kilometres billed on a monthly shift vehicle?

**Short answer:** At the per-km rate, shown on the monthly invoice.

When a vehicle on a fixed monthly price runs beyond the kilometres agreed for the month, the extra kilometres are billed at the per-km rate for that vehicle: ₹12 a km for a sedan, ₹13 for an Ertiga and ₹18 for an Innova Crysta (Tempo Travellers and buses as quoted). The kilometres come from the duty slips and appear on the monthly GST invoice.

## How does the sum work?

If a sedan's agreed limit is reached and it runs 150 kilometres more in the month, the extra charge is 150 × ₹12 = ₹1,800 on that month's invoice.
