# How can we estimate the monthly cost of shift transport?

**Short answer:** From headcount, towns, route lengths, runs and working days.

The monthly cost of shift transport follows five things: the **number of employees per shift**, the **towns they come from**, the **length of each route**, the **number of runs a day** and the **working days in the month**. ## Can we make a rough estimate ourselves?

For a per-km view, multiply the kilometres per run by the runs per day, the working days and the per-km rate of the vehicle (₹12 sedan, ₹13 Ertiga, ₹18 Innova Crysta). The contract price we quote can differ, since long contracts and many vehicles get better rates.
