# How do you investigate repeated delays on the same route?

**Short answer:** Find the cause on GPS, fix it on the route, report back.

When the same route runs late more than once, Shiv Shakti Tours & Travels goes back to the GPS record to see where the time is lost: a late start, traffic at one point, a slow pickup or the driver. We then change what caused it, such as an earlier start, a different driver, a resized vehicle or regrouped stops, and tell your coordinator what we found and what changed. On request, complaints and corrective actions are summarised in the monthly report.

## Key facts: repeated delays

| Fact | Value |
|---|---|
| Trigger | The same route late more than once |
| Investigation | GPS record and roster, stop by stop |
| Typical causes | Late start, traffic point, slow pickup, driver |
| Fixes | Earlier start, other driver, resized vehicle, regrouped stops |
| Telling you | Cause and action sent to your coordinator |
| Complaint tracking | Part of how we judge vendor performance |
| Monthly summary | Complaints and corrective actions, on request |
| SLA | Corrective plans before penalties, if your contract has them |

## How do you find the cause?

The GPS record shows the time the vehicle reached each stop. Laid against the roster, it shows exactly where the minutes go.

| What the record shows | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Late at the first stop | Late start | Earlier start or a different driver |
| Time lost at one place every day | Traffic point or level crossing | Earlier start or another road |
| Long waits at a pickup | Passenger not ready, or unclear pickup point | Agree a firm time and point |
| Too many stops for the time | Route too long | Split the route or regroup stops |

## Do you report corrective actions?

Yes. Your coordinator gets the cause and the change in writing, and on request the month's complaints and corrective actions are summarised in the performance report.

See monthly performance reports (https://www.shivshaktitoursandtravels.in/answers/corporate-accounts/monthly-performance-reports/) and service reviews (https://www.shivshaktitoursandtravels.in/answers/corporate-accounts/service-review-meetings/).

## What if the delays continue?

If the fix does not hold, it goes to the review meeting, and if your contract has an SLA, the agreed remedy applies.

See penalties and service credits (https://www.shivshaktitoursandtravels.in/answers/corporate-accounts/penalties-and-service-credits/).
